Karachi: Home Minister of Sindh, southern province of Pakistan, said on Sunday that all the political offices of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would be destroyed if Pakistan People’s Party was attacked undemocratically in Punjab.
Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza said this while addressing a public meeting in Lyari, Karachi. He said PML-N wanted to remove PPP from Punjab. He warned PML-N that all offices of PML-N from Karachi to Kashmore would be demolished if PPP was targeted in Punjab.
He urged the Punjab government to stop giving ultimatum to the federal government.
He criticized Naheed Khan, former political secretary of Benazir Bhutto, and Safdar Abbasi and said that Benazir wanted to get rid of Naheed and Abbasi.
Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah while talking to a Pakistani TV channel termed Mirza’s statement as anti-Pakistan and said Mirza is a terrorist. He said Mirza’s statement was not an attack on PML-N but an attack on Pakistan’s integrity.
PML-N leader Siddique Al Farooq said that Mirza’s statement was open terrorism and was given at a time when the government was on the verge of collapse.
