Islamabad: Managing Director Pakistan International Airline (PIA) hasĀ resigned from his post on Friday evening.
Federal Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar has said that resignation of Captain Aijaz Haroon has been accepted.
Ongoing protests of PIA workers, had begun on January o7, 2011, ended after a successful talks between government and Joint Action Committee (JAC) of PIA.
Federal Interior Minister Rehman MalikĀ said that all the demands of JAC have been met.
It is expected that Haroon will be appointed as Managing Director Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Nadeem Yousuf Zai will be new Managing Director PIA, sources said.
