Islamabad:The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted time to the counsel for federal government to consult his client over the appointment of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) issue and apprise it on Thursday.
A four member-bench of the SC headed by Justice Javed Iqbal heard the petitions moved by Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar and Shahid Orakzai challenging appointment of Deedar Shah as chairman NAB.
The Federation counsel Abdul Hafeez Pirzada appeared before the court and contended that  being law officer of the Court and not as counsel for Federation, he was of the opinion that if there were any technical lacunae in the notification, it could be rectified without a discontinuity of the process.
Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa remarked that the first notification could be revoked to rectify the âconsultation processâ.
