Karachi: Jamhoori Watan Party leader Shahzain Bugti, a grand son of late Nawab Akbar Bugti, said on Thursday that he would hold long march Karachi to Dera Bugti on Friday.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday he expressed hope that the government would not create any hurdle to stop the march, adding that the long march would be held at any cost and any effort to stop it would be resisted.
Shazain invited the civil society and religious parties to participate in the long march adding that all the participants would be provided security.
He said that any effort to sabotage the march would badly affect the law and order in Baluchistan.
The Balochistan High Court has granted the bail of Shahzain and 26 others on submission of surety bonds worth Rs 500,000.
Shahzain and 26 others were arrested by the Frontier Corps at the Buleli check post when they recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition, including anti-aircraft guns, on December 22, 2010.
He had announced that he would hold the long march to rehabilitate the people of the Bugti tribe who had been displaced during the military operation launched by former president General Pervez Musharraf.
