Islamabad: The total power generation was recorded 11,210 MW in the country against the demand of 12,735 MW during the last 24 hours, depicting 1,525 MW power shortfall in the country.
According to the daily report, the hydel generation stood at 3,520 MW, WAPDA thermal 1,972 MW, IPPS 5,656 MW and Renal 62 MW.
As many as 660 MW was supplied to Karachi Electric Supply Company, the report said.
The water level at Tarbela and Mangla dams was recorded as 1466.28 feet and 1123.70 feet with water discharge of 30,000 cusecs and 18,000 cusecs respectively.
The hydel generation has increased significantly owing to more water discharge from both the mega reservoirs.
