Islamabad:Government has appointed Pir Karam Ali Shah as governor Gilgit Baltistan on Wednesday.
President Asif ALi Zardari has appointed him on the advice of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and a notification has been issued in this regard.
The post was lying vacant for more than four months after the death of the first GB governor Dr Shama Khalid, who died on September 15 last year.
