Karachi: The Excise Police on Monday claimed to have foiled a terror plan and arrested two alleged terrorists, recovering a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
Excise Police, Sindh, Director General Shoaib Siddiqui said that police stopped a truck (bearing no LHJ-5900) on the National Highway near Rasoolabad close to Naushehro Feroze for snap-checking and recovered 10 kilogram of explosives, four suicide jackets, 50 hand-grenades, over two dozen rocket launchers and a huge quantity of narcotics.
The truck was hired by the New Friends Goods Transport of Dera Ismail Khan.
The police arrested two suspects – Marzak and Ghazi Khan – who disclosed during the interrogation that the arms were being transported from Miranshah to Karachi for terrorism purpose.
