Riyadh: At least 35 labourers were killed and 40 others were injured when a portion of an under-construction library building collapsed in the Saudi capital, officials said on Monday .
Police and eyewitnesses said the labourers were busy in construction work of a building of the Women University, said to be the world’s largest educational institute of women, when a portion of it collapsed, killing at least 35 and injuring 40, including several Pakistani and Indian nationals .
Rescue workers rushed to the spot and were busy to shift the dead and injured to nearby hospitals.
