Islamabad: The Techno Rental Power Company on Tuesday returned Rs1.8 billion, received as advance in setting up a RPP in Sahiwal, on the directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Three member bench headed by Chief Justic Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhry hearing the petitions against alleged corruption in Rental Power Plants preojet,on Monday extended the deadline till Tuesday and ordered the company’s lawaer Anwarul Haq to submit the money on Tuesday.
Chief Justice Iftekhar Chaudhry,During the hearing, remarked that every one had its own argument but country’s interests should not be neglected.
