Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday in his remarks in Reko Diq case said that the government’s institutions were not taking interest in the case.
A three member bench comprising,CJ Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday and Justice Ghulam Rabbani, while hearing the case expressed annoyance over the government for not submitting its reply in the court and directed the counsel to submit reply on January 19.
The court issued contempt of court notice to Tethyan Copper Company (TCC) hearing contempt petitions filed by Barrister Zafarullah for carrying out advertisements in the print media, although the matter is before the court.
The case was adjourned till January 25.
