Washington: Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari called on his US counterpart Barack Obama at the White House on Friday.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani and US Secretary of States Hillary Clinton also attended the meeting.
While briefing media Haqqani said both the presidents discussed different issues of economic development. He said that President Zardari did not demand any economic package.
He added that the president vowed to act upon tax reforms in Pakistan. It was also decided in the meeting that more ways for the economic development in Pakistan would be discovered, Haqqani said.
Obama assured Zardari that the US would continue helping Pakistan.
