KARACHI: The Crimes Investigation Department (CID) has issued the fifth edition of ‘red book’ which contains data of terrorists wanted for different acts of subversion, including suicide attacks, according to a copy of the document obtained by The News Tribe, a UK based bilingual website.
The book contains profiles of almost 64 wanted terrorists suspected of sowing death and destruction in Karachi, including the Shearto and other blasts last year. No suspect mentioned in the book carries any bounty on his head.
Total number of most wanted people in fifth edition of red book has reached 64, including 46 of Sunni sect, 16 of Shiaa sect and four of Lyari Gang War.
Copies of the ‘red book’ have been sent to all law enforcement agencies, including the interior ministry.
The red book has been divided into three parts. In first part, names of Sunni terrorists have been showed. Out of 46 Sunni activists, top ten activists having head money are Mutee ur Rehma alias Hussain (11 million) while Qari Jameel alias Qari , Muhammad Yaseen alias Ustad Usama , Habib Ullah Khatak alias Saad Ullah, Riaz alias Afghani, Muhammad Ali alias Akhter, Syed Kashif Ali Shah, Imad and bilal are the activists having 5 lacs of head money.
In second part of the book, 16 Shiaa terrorists have been included. Out of them, the terrorists having head money of one million are Raza Imam alias Manzar, Molana Zulqarnain Hayder Nqvi, Muhammad Rashid alias Hassan Mota, Syed Mohib Ali alias Yawar Abbas, Syed Mohsin Mehdi, while Ali Hassan and Syed Asif Zaidi are the activists having 5 lacs of head money.
According to the book, Mutee ur Rehman, a resident of Bahawalpur, is the most wanted suspect for the Sheraton Hotel suicide attack. Government of Pakistan has announced head money of 10 million while Sindh government announced one million. He is the suspect who was enlisted in first red book and still out of range.
The suspect having the lowest head money is Noor alias Baba Ladla, nominated in the FIR of Shair Shah incident in which 14 peoples were killed.
The book contains only sketchy information about militant organisations operating in the country.
Sources said the interior ministry had received letters from the provincial home departments requesting announcement of bounties. The ministry has started consultations on the matter, the sources added.
