New Delhi: A local court has sent Sawami Aseemanand, a key accused of Samjhauta train blast, to a 14-day judicial custody in Ambala jail, news agencies reported on Thursday.
The accused had confessed before a magistrate to his involvement in the Samjhauta train blast of February 2007. He was arrested in November last year.
Aseemanand had also confessed that his alleged right hand man Sunil Joshi, who was killed in December 2007, was behind the Malegaon blast of September 2006.
It is to mention here that a number of Pakistani citizens were killed in Samjhuta train blast while the Pakistani government demanded of the Indian government to share investigation report of the case containing Aseemanand’s confession last week.
India has declined to share the report saying that the investigation was in a preliminary stage.
