PESHAWAR: Four people including two policemen were injured, while at least 20 nearby shops were destroyed in a blast near a market in Charsadda, a district of Khyber PakhtunKhwa province of Pakistan, on Thursday.
The bomb abruptly went off in Dozakh Market when policemen were searching suspicious cotton after receiving information from one of the shopkeepers.
Two injured were identified as ASI Samiullah and Mohammad Khalil, while the identification of remaining two is yet to be ascertained. The injured were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital Charsadda.
District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda Nisar Marwat said the bomb was remote control. Police have cordoned off the area and started investigation of the incident.
