Islamabad: The decision to withdraw recent increase in prices of petroleum products has been taken, sources said here on Thursday.
In this connection, the formal announcement is likely to be made by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in parliament.
The decision was taken at a meeting of parliamentary leaders of all political parties held under the chairmanship of the prime minister.
The meeting discussed the crisis being faced by the country, besides reservations of current and former coalition partners of the government.
The sources claimed that some important decisions, including a positive reply on the PML-N agenda, are likely to be announced after the meeting.
