Prime Minister leaves for UK on medical ground

LAHORE: Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has left for London, United Kingdom on medical grounds for checkup, his wife Kulsoom Nawaz and mother are accompanying him on the tour.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is facing heavy criticism due to the involvement of his family in offshore companies revealed through Panama Leaks.

Nawaz Sharif also held a high profile meeting at the airport before his departure for London. Foreign Minister Chauhdary Nisar, Finance Minister Ishaaq Dar and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif were in the meeting with the premier.

Sharif stated that he is leaving for checkup and would return within 5 days however official sources informed that the visit is scheduled for two weeks.

Reports of two servants accompanying Nawaz Sharif and his family have also been circulating the media channels. It is pertinent to mention that a doctor checked PM Sharif before his departure.
