LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab province of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, has received life threats from undisclosed terrorists for last some days.
“I and mine colleagues have been getting the threats,” he said as local media report.
“But I will not leave people alone,” he said referring to the challenge he is facing most likely after the death of Hakimullah Mehsud last week.
Last reports of TNT revealed the lives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif are in danger and they are expectedly targeted in Jati Umra Raiwind as TTP may look to avenge for the loss of their leader.
The intelligence agencies had issued warning for a possible attack on Jati Umra Raiwind and showed expectations of high profile attacks on PM Nawaz Sharif and CM Shahbaz Sharif.
The fortified walls of Jati Umra will be upgraded in accordance to security perspectives during a meeting, sources said.
Moreover, decision has been made for increment in all governmental buildings and placement of necessary barriers.
