Twitter Doghouse—a new third-party Twitter app—is now at your disposal and allows you to get rid of your ‘ultra-active’ friends temporarily.
With the new app, you can quieten any member of your Twitterverse by unfollowing them for a specified amount of time.
Twitter Doghouse can be useful when your timeline is thronged by minute-by-minute tweets, say, sports coverage or unwanted updates of any event.
The app was developed by Elan Dubrofsky and Jure Stern in response to a challenge posted on the crowdsourcing development platform CloudSpokes, Mashable reports.
You can access the functionality through the app website (twitter-doghouse.herokuapp.com) or can send a tweet directly to the @TwitDoghouse account, followed by the username, the allotted time and any personal message.
