Karachi: All efforts, peace rallies and political talks to restore peace in Pakistan’s financial hub seems like a dream and at least 31 people were gunned down in separate shooting incidents on Monday while seven vehicles and more than 100 motorcycles and were torched in the metropolis.
In the fresh violence two bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from SITE area and two bodies were found in Nazimabad, while one man was shot dead in Korangi No 5 and one man was targeted on Shahra-e-Noor Jahan.
In another incident, unidentified armed miscreants before torching the bike opened indiscriminate fire outside Afroz Textile in Ahsanabad Industrial Zone to create fear and panic among the people and fled without any resistance.
The miscreants forced the employees of the textile industry to stay inside for at least two hours, burnt and destroyed the bikes of the industry employees and fled.
The killing and arson incidents produced panic among citizens of Karachi, most of the city’s bazaars and shops have been closed. Public and private transports have been disappeared.
During all the situation law enforcing agencies remained completely fail to control the law and order situation of the metropolis.
