Haripur: At least 15 people were died and several others injured when a passenger van fell into gorge in Haripur district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa province on Monday.
Police sources said that the van, carrying 18 to 20 passengers onboard was moving towards Sarikot, slipped into the gorge due heavy rain in Kotki area, resultantly 15 passengers were died at the spot.
“Police and rescue teams rushed to spot and started the operation,” sources said and added that the injured had been shifted to District Headquarter Hospital.
Rescue teams faced difficulties due to the rain and low visibility.
