Islamabad: Information Minister of Pakistan Firdous Ashique Awan expressed his grief over the loss of human lives, caused by the use of substandard drugs, adding that chief justice should take suo motu notice in this regard.
Talking to media on Thursday, the information minister said the ministry of health had been transferred to provinces; it was the duty of provincial government to check the quality of medicines’. She said CM Punjab should stop political point scoring and demanded CM should compensate the victims’ families.
She urged cable operators to support Pemra to block foreign content.
