Karachi: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday directed the government to release Muhajir Qauimi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) Chairman Afaq Ahmed.
The orders were issued by ATC judge Khalida Yaseen.
According to local media reports, the MQM-H chief had been granted bail in Jameel Baloch kidnapping case on Saturday and the eventually the ATC ordered his release today.
Reports says Ahmed will be released from jail in the evening from where he would first go to a local grave yard to offer Fathea for his father.
However, jail sources told The News Tribe that they have yet to receive release orders.
Meanwhile, the MQM-H chairman has also appeared before the Sindh High Court to argue his different applications.
