California: Google has now launched its Google Music service and given its users the chance to share and play tunes while social networking at Google+.
Google Music, with more or less 13 million songs, will be combined with Android Market, the company’s online store for smartphone apps and videos as it plays catch-up with its rivals.
Google Music was uncovered at a splashy event at the Brainwash Studios in Hollywood, California on Wednesday.
Apple, Amazon and Facebook have to varying degrees integrated music into their core online and mobile products.
Right now, the service is only available to customers in the U.S., but Google aims to turn it out eventually to some 200 million Android users globally.
To help jumpstart the new music store, Google is offering a free song for consumers to download every day.
