Lahore: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said on Tuesday that he would field 1000 candidates in the next national and provincial elections.
Talking to media at the residence of Waleed Iqbal, grandson of Allam Iqbal, he said that he always selected the best team.
To a question by a reporter about support from intelligence agencies for his party, he said that he did not know which agency sent people to his public meeting in Lahore.
Referring to 2008 polls, he said that Javed Hasmi and Raja Zafar-ul-Haq of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had told him that they would not contest elections if Nawaz Sharif made any decision to participate in election.
He said that time would prove that Waleed took a good decision to join PTI. “Every person has to disclose all his assets before joining PTI,” Imran said.
