Rawalpindi: Relief and Rescue operations by Pakistan Army troops in flood affected areas of Badin, Mithi, Mir Pur Khas, Tando Allahyar, Umar Kot, Pangrio, Nawab Shah and Sanghar Districts have continued with the help of motorized boats, heavy vehicles and helicopters.
According to Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR), so far, 58,000 people have been rescued and 885 Tons of ration was also distributed among affectees through helicopters and by road.
Six water filtration plants have also been established to provide safe drinking water in the flood affected areas.
Meanwhile Army Doctors treated more than 38,699 patients in medical camps and Mobile Medical Units in all the affected districts.
