Tunis: The people of Tunisa are observing three days of mourning to honour who were killed during the demonstration that led to the collapse of the government.At least 78 people were killed and several injured since the wave of protest began.
A new interim government has also face protests against former president Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali’s Rcd party remaining in office. Protesters are demanding that all members of the RCD party be excluded from any future government.
The interim government has claimed that all the political prisoners have been released.
Tunisia’s new cabinet has promised to hold free and fair elections within six months but has given no dates. The constitution says they should be held within six months.
