KARACHI: Sindh assembly has today approved the bill imposing ban on under age marriage.
The Sindh assembly session was held today in the chair of Deputy Speaker of the house Shahla Raza where the special committee of the house presented bill against under age marriage which was accepted unopposed.
According to the bill under age marriages are declared illegal and punishable, committee also proposed three year jail for the crime.
During the session Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML F) member Nusrat Sehar Abbasi tried to present adjournment motion over deteriorating situation of education which was rejected by Senior Minister Nisar Khuhro.
