MULTAN: Another patient died of swine flu at Nishtar Hospital on Wednesday, increasing the death toll to three in Multan.
Moreover, eight more patients tested positive for the swine flu. Abdur Rehman, 40, of Khanewal was brought to hospital and later died in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the health department has issued a warning after several more cases of swine flu were detected in the province.
Earlier, Humaira from Multan and Rubina from Taunsa Sharif were brought to Multan Nishtar Hospital and they could not survive.
The officials said that 15 patients were brought to the hospital from Southern Punjab’s remote areas. They said that tree of them had died. They said that blood test reports of four patients, out of 15, are being awaited.
Senior physician Dr Waheed Anjum said swine flu had first time appeared during 2009, causing panic across the world. He said that the affected person could be contagious for up to 10 days.
