KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan said that the government and political parties are themselves violating the constitution for sixty six years.
The Islamist leader said that those blaming Taliban for not accepting the constitution are violating the sacred document’s orders by not making Urdu the language of instruction in schools.
In a series of tweets ,he emphasised that  If the 1973 constitution shall be implemented according to its soul ,all issues will be resolved as Quran and Sunnah were declared supreme law in the constitution and it was promised that no law will me made against it .
The JI chief further stated that the demand for implementation of Shariah is neither new nor unconstitutional.
The leader said that none shall be afraid of Shariah, as it is not a dangerous or horrific thing.
The statement came when Pakistan’s government and Taliban are holding a dialogue with the core issue being the implementation of Shariah and Islamic laws in the country.
