ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulmae Islam (F) finally come on the same page on the matter of the blockage of NATO supply. Both the leaders of their respective parties were strongly in favour of government’s talks with Taliban.
The Chief of JUI-F Fazlur Rehman said, “JUI-F will move a resolution in K-P provincial assembly on NATO supplies but we will support the PTI government if it issues executive order in this regard”. He said that a national strategy needs to be reformed on in the wake of drone attack killing TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud. He said, “PTI’s ‘solo flight’ will damage national unity on drones and dialogue with Taliban”.
The chief of JUI-F stated that All Parties Conference (APC) was a step taken towards reconciliation. He said, “The drone attack has now changed the situation, which is why we need a new APC to review the situation. We were trying to get Pakistan out of crisis but the drone attack has increased instability”.
