WASHINGTON: The United States of America, Pakistan decided formation of five working groups in order to establish cooperation in economic, energy, security, defence and anti-terrorism areas, according to the combined statement.
The Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and US President Barak Obama released combine statement following a meeting in the White House.
According to announcement, both countries will expand cooperation in economic, energy, security, defence and anti-terrorism sectors via working groups comprising of members of Pak-US.
The announcement said that peaceful border situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan is essential for the elimination of terrorism.
The leaders agreed for continuation of dialogues in future as well as joint efforts for the establishment of regional and international peace.
On the event, Obama thanked the Pakistani premier for the country’s cooperation for defeating Al-Qaeda.
It should mention here that the Pakistani premier met US President Barack Obama in White House on Wednesday’s night in which he demanded stoppage of drone attacks in his country.
