Tokyo: South Korean giant Samsung after the success of its flagship device Samsung Galaxy S4, now gearing up to cement its place in the tablet market with its upcoming devices.
Samsung is dominating the smartphone market now with improve technology Samsung preparing to launch a 12.2-inch Galaxy Note and a 10.1-inch tablet, both with 2560 x 1600 resolution display.
Samsung might be getting more serious about its tablet ambitions and is working on two high-end tablets that will have higher-resolution displays than Apple’s iPad 2048 x 1536 Retina display.
Both tablets will have the same resolution displays of 2560 x 1600. One will be a 12.2-inch S-Pen packing slate indicating a Galaxy Note, and the other is a 10-inch tablet that is most likely the next-generation Nexus 10.
The very reliable evleaks has posted information to Twitter about the two tablets. The Samsung SM-P900 will reportedly be the model number of the 12.2-inch Galaxy Note-like tablet.
This would be the largest Android slate to be released by the company and its 2560 x 1600 resolution display would bring a high-end display to the Galaxy Note tablet line.
Tablets will be powered by Samsung Exynos 5 octa-core processor, and most likely will be the Exynos 5420 the company recently announced.
The Samsung SM-P600 tablet is expected to be the model number of a new 10-inch tablet. The device will feature the same high-resolution 2560 x 1600 display as its purported 12.2-inch sibling, but it will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor.
This tablet is expected to be the next-generation Nexus 10. Samsung builds Google’s current Nexus 10 and it was reported that it has been chosen, along with ASUS, to build the next generation Nexus tablets. Google reportedly confirmed at the launch of the new Nexus 7 that consumers should expect an updated Nexus 10 in the near future. This tablet is most likely the next-generation Nexus 10.
There was no information as to when we can expect to see these tablets. As with all rumors, its best to take this with a grain of salt, but the source has always been spot on with his claims. Samsung could show these off in a few weeks at IFA, where it is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 3.
