LAHORE: Senator of Upper House of Pakistan parliament, Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, has resigned from his post on Tuesday.
Aitzaz Ahsan was serving as the senator to the Upper House of Pakistan’s parliament during the tenure of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Ahsan also performed his duty as President of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan.
He has sent his resignation to the chairman senate; however, PPP sources are of the view that it is not confirmed yet that leadership of the party would accept it or not.
Ahsan said he is taking the responsibility that his wife Bushra Ahsan was defeated in his own constituency in Lahore.
