Mardan: Warning for a blood revolution if upcoming elections are not fair and transparent, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan chief Syed Munawwar Hasan appealed people to come forward in the elections to bring a peaceful revolution.
“Jamat-e-Islami is the only party in the country, which has the capability to bring a revolution,” he said while addressing a big gathering at Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa’s Mardan district, where his party has strong voters base.
You have voted for PMLN, PPP and ANP, now you should test us, Hasan said.
“Our party people remained members of national and provinial assemblies, but there is even not a single corruption allegation on them.”
JI chief questioned competence of interim government saying it had doubted the fair and transparent elections in the country.
Switching his focus from internal issues to external, he viewed United States as major problem. “Intervention of United States in economics, foreign affairs, security and other fields of the country is the major source of problems,” he said.
“We will form an independent foreign policy with a balanced outlook for Muslim and non-Muslim world.”
