Islamabad: Pakistan Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has said that the court would order to bring Hussain Haqqani, the central figure of memo gate issue, forcibly if he will not return himself.
A nine-judge bench of the apex court headed by the chief justice resumed the hearing of the case after two and half months.
During the hearing today, the chief justice read the SC’s order in which the bench ordered Haqqani to appear before the case.
Asma Jahangir, the counsel of Haqqani, told the court that she herself could not bring her client back.
Over this, the CJ remarked that Haqqani had to return as it was the court’s order.
Subsequently, Asma Jahangir pleaded the court to grant her more time saying she is going to Geneva with a fact finding mission.
The court accepted her plea and adjourned the hearing till February 12.
