Lahore: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has revealed that the families of Faheem and Faizan, who were shot dead by Raymond Davis, a CIA contractor, are in Rawalpindi.
He said on Sunday evening that both the victim families are not coming in front of masses because of fear and shame as they took compensation money of Rs 200 million.
The law minister said Punjab government had played legal role in Raymond Davis case. He said Davis’s passport was in Punjab government’s custody.
He held federal government responsible for Davis’s release. He said Davis could not have moved America if federal government had taken the case seriously.
Sanaullah said release of Davis shows the weakness of Pakistan People’s Party government. He declared again that Punjab government is not involved in Davis release.
It is worth mentioning here that massive protests have been held across Pakistan against Davis’s release. The families of both Faizan and Fahim had been missing since he was released.
Political parties and human rights organisations had been demanding the federal and provincial governments to inform the nation where the families went and who was responsible for their security. They were receiving regular threats from unknown people.
