Mohali: Building world records have been hitting the media for quite a few months across the world, another related world record has just been created as India builds a 10-story building in an industrial area of Mohali in just 48 hours. The construction of ‘Instacon’ building commenced on Thursday afternoon at 4.30 p.m. local time and was reportedly completed on Saturday, also at 4.30 p.m.
The authorities used three cranes and over 200 efficient workers, including technicians, round the clock to finish the record breaking work.
Pre-fabricated materials including 200 tons of steel were said to be used in the construction of the building.
The idea behind the project was to draw attention to “better, energy efficient construction technology that will enable builders and owners to generate revenue within days, instead of waiting months for the building to be completed,” officials said.
The official added that the building, built to survive high magnitude earthquakes, is only a sample structure and still needed a few finishing touches.
