Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Wednesday said that Pakistan wanted better relationship with the United States but they should be based on mutual respect and trust.
During a meeting with newly appointed US Ambassador to Pakistan, Richard Olson, Kaira said that terrorism was a international menace and joint efforts were required to address it.
The minister also apprised the US envoy that the government had evolve a system that would help conduct free and fair election in the country.
Mr Olson told Kaira that Washington wanted to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in the technical field of media.
Both the personalities also exchanged views on bilateral relations between both the countries and enhancing cooperation in the field of media.
