Tripoli: John Brennan, top US adviser on counter-terrorism, will visit Libya on Tuesday to discuss the probe into the killings of officials last month in which US ambassador Chris Stevens was also killed when a furious mob attacked the US consulate in Benghazi.
The adviser will meet Mohammed Magarief, the president of the national congress, as well as army, intelligence, interior and foreign ministry officials, a Libyan protocol official told Reuters on condition of anonymity.
US FBI agents travelled to Tripoli a few days after the attack to join in the probe, but domestic political upheavals and disagreement over the terms of the cooperation held up a visit to Benghazi for over two weeks.
