The Sindh Government announced Monday to lift ban on pillion riding in Karachi.
Earlier, the curb had been imposed by the home department in view of the security situation in the provincial metropolis during the mourning month of Muharram.
A high-level meeting, presided over by Sindh Home Minster Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, was held here on Monday to discuss the law and order situation during the mourning month.
Talking to the media representatives after the meeting, Zulfiqar Mirza expressed his satisfaction regarding the security arrangements made during the Ashura. He also announced lifting of ban on pillion riding in Karachi.
The curb, he said, would be imposed again for two days during the Chehlum of Imam Hussain.
