Lahore: The Lahore High Court on Friday put off hearing into an application, seeking disqualification of former law minister Babar Awan from Senate, to September 14.
Applicant Shahid Jami, a resident of Lahore, had filed an application, seeking to bar Awam from contesting Senate election.
During the hearing on Friday, LHC Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial asked the applicant to argue on the point whether his plea had not become ineffective after Awan became Senator.
The applicant said the court could still declare the election void.
