Islamabad: United States (US) Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday contacted his Pakistani counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar via telephone and discussed recent attack by militants in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan.
The both foreign ministers affirmed that Pakistan and US would continue to fight against terrorism.
The US secretary of state said that joint cooperation was needed in order to fight against militancy.
“In order to halt terror attacks US, Afghanistan and Pakistan has to launch operations against these militants,” she added.
More than 40 people were killed and almost 65 people injured when militants rocked Kabul on Sunday with heavy weaponry. This was the deadliest attack by militants in the tenure of 11 year war in Afghanistan.
The both leaders also discussed regarding the relationship between the two countries after the approval of recommendations of Pakistan’s Parliamentary Committee of National Security (PCNS).
