Karachi: Former Member of National Assembly (MNA) and a social worker Marvi Memon on Monday congratulated Pakistani film director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy for winning the Oscar Award for Pakistan, for the first time in the 84 year history of world’s prestigious awards.
Memon who had also work in the film said that she was not sure that Sharmeen would win the award but she had proved that Pakistani women could do things beyond expectations.
Memon further said that now government should take serious actions against all those culprits involved in throwing acids on the faces of women.
