Sydney: Australia have beaten India by 87 runs and book berth in the commonwealth bank final at Sydney here on Sunday.
With complete team performance Australia restricted India to just 165 in response to its 252 and created problems for the Indians to reach in the final.
Indian batsmen failed to chase the reasonable target and the highest scorer was Ravichandran Ashwin who made 26 runs.
Australian bowlers remained very economical and helped its team to get an important win with bonus point. Ben Hilfenhaus, skipper Shane Watson and Xavier Doherty was the pick of the bowler and took two wickets each.
Now the next game against Sri Lanka on February 28 in Hobart will be the must win game for India to qualify for the final of the series.
