Karachi: In response to the strike announced by the All Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, several petrol pumps have been closed in various cities across the country. Besides Islamabad, the Association has announced the closure of petrol pumps nationwide.
The closure of most petrol pumps in Karachi has caused severe difficulties for the residents. Following the announcement of the petroleum dealers’ strike, petrol pumps in Peshawar and Lahore are open, and fuel supply continues.
The Petroleum Division and OGRA have assured that petroleum products will remain available across the country. They have instructed oil marketing companies to keep pumps operational and ensure continuous supply. Adequate quantities of petroleum products are available nationwide.
The Punjab chapter of the Petroleum Dealers Association has stated that despite unsuccessful negotiations with the government, they will not observe a strike today. They believe that such actions cannot lead to a solution; instead, the path of negotiations should be pursued.
