Aleppo: Israeli forces have begun bombing Syria alongside Gaza, with Israeli airstrikes on Aleppo resulting in the deaths of 38 individuals, including five members of the Lebanese Hezbollah group.
According to international news agencies, the Syrian Ministry of Defense stated that following Israeli attacks on Aleppo, numerous civilians and military personnel have lost their lives, and the sounds of explosions were heard far and wide.
On the other hand, Israeli authorities claimed that they targeted Hezbollah positions in Syria.
Security sources have revealed that in the airstrikes conducted early Friday morning, five Hezbollah fighters were killed, though it is not clear whether they are included in the 38 reported casualties.
Earlier reports suggested that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in Britain, stated that Israeli attacks targeted the international airport near Aleppo or the ammunition depot, resulting in large explosions.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense stated in a statement that as a result of the aggression, numerous civilians and military personnel have been martyred and injured, and both public and private properties have incurred losses.
Since October 7, Israel has escalated its attacks on Syria, targeting Syrian air defenses and some Syrian forces as well.
