Kabul: Significant progress has been made in Pakistan-Afghanistan relations, and a preferential trade agreement has been finalized between the two countries.
According to sources, under the agreement reached between Pakistani and Afghan authorities in Kabul, it has been agreed to eliminate the requirement of visas and passports for drivers and assistant staff for border crossing. Temporary entry documents will be prepared to facilitate trade from both sides.
According to sources, from May 1, a visa and passport-free system will be implemented for traders at the border.
Border trade banking will be conducted through the Border Trade Banking System, and the State Bank will ensure the implementation of Afghan authorities’ desire to establish the State Bank System. For actual income, Pakistan and Afghanistan will finalize drafts to be exchanged.
