Gaza: The Israeli aggression persists in Gaza even during the month of Ramadan, resulting in the martyrdom of an additional 90 Palestinians, including women and children over the past 24 hours, with at least 135 others injured.
According to reports, Israeli occupying forces opened fire on displaced Palestinian families awaiting aid in Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 6 Palestinians and injured over 83 others.
Reportedly, the incident occurred shortly after Israel bombed a UN food distribution center in the southern city of Rafah, claiming the lives of at least five individuals, among them a UNRWA staff member, while at least 22 others were injured in the Israeli attacks.
Confirming the death toll, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that since the start of the war imposed on the already besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, the Israeli aggression against Gaza has resulted in a staggering death toll of 31,272 and left 73,024Â others injured, mostly women and children.
The UN reports that 85% of Gaza’s population has been displaced internally, with critical shortages of food, water, and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.
Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice, with an interim ruling in January ordering Tel Aviv to cease genocidal acts and ensure the provision of humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza, which so far has gone unheeded as relentless Israeli attacks on Gaza claim the lives of hundreds of Palestinians daily.
