Karachi: Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui, the head of the Aafia Movement and a renowned neurophysician in the country has appealed to the entire Muslim world while extending Ramadan greetings, urging them to remember Dr. Aafia and the Muslims of Gaza in all the supplications during Suhoor, Iftar, Taraweeh, and other prayers of Ramadan.
Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui stated that our Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza will be going through extremely difficult circumstances this Ramadan. Special prayers should be offered for them as well. Clive Stafford Smith, Dr. Aafia’s lawyer, expressed hope that if the Pakistani government and the Foreign Ministry provide the desired assistance, they will endeavor to ensure that by the end of this year, Aafia returns home safely.
Dr. Fowzia mentioned that Dr. Aafia’s son, Dr. Ahmed will be leading Taraweeh’s prayers at home this year. She appealed to the Imams and the entire nation to specially arrange prayers not only for the release of Dr. Aafia but also for the freedom of the Muslims in Gaza and Kashmir, and for peace, stability, progress, and prosperity in the Islamic world and Pakistan.
