Peshawar: The moon of the blessed month of Ramadan, 1445 Hijri, has been sighted in Pakistan, and tomorrow, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the first fast will be observed.
According to details, a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad in Peshawar to sight the moon of Ramadan.
The Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee stated that testimonies regarding the sighting of the moon were received from various cities, following which a unanimous decision was made that the first day of Ramadan in the country will be tomorrow, Tuesday, the 1st of Ramadan.
Not only did the Lahore Zonal Committee receive testimonies of moon sighting, but the participants also observed it during the meeting. Subsequently, the moon was sighted in Islamabad, Peshawar, and other cities as well.
